It’s been 38 weeks, it’s so crazy. I have so many things to share, but I keep forgetting to upload my pics from my camera. I’ll work on doing that in the next few days. Well here’s what I’ve been up to lately:

  • Sewing Baby Diapers. If you want a great resource for sewing cloth baby diapers, check out www.verybaby.com
  • Sewing a new car seat cover. The one that we got was totally ugly, I have before and after pictures, and now the car seat has an awesome print from Alexander Henry (one of my favorite fabric designers).
  • Cleaning up and getting ready. Okay, this isn’t one that you really need to see pictures of, but it’s something that I’ve been up to.

About a month ago, Dan and I were at Southcenter and found a black and white photo booth. It wasn’t the old fashioned kind (which is what I wanted). But I don’t know where to find the old fashioned black and white photo booths in Seattle. So this is something from my 25 Thing To Do Before I Turn 26 post.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I totally won a give-away over at the Make It blog. I love this blog, she has amazing stuff, and she documents the process of what she does as she creates her own business.

I finished reading Craft, Inc. by Meg Mateo Ilasco (her blog). It is an amazing and very helpful book for creating your own “craft” business. I’m working on doing this because I want another way to have an income while being able to stay home with my daughter when she is born.

The book really explains the legal side of things. I’ve tried reading other books like this before, and none of them really connected with me (I never finished reading them). This book also has many interviews with creative people who started out all on their own, and are now selling their “crafts” all over the world. There is so much inspiration in this book.

My 25th birthday is tomorrow, so I’m doing one of those lists of things to do before I get one year older.

  1. Take more pictures
  2. Write a blog entry at least once a week.
  3. See at least two live shows.
  4. Read three books: Craft, Inc.
  5. Make more things to sell.
  6. Promote my stuff.
  7. Be more social. Baby in the Belly
  8. Finish my Works in Progress.
  9. Create at least one piece of art each month.
  10. Have a picnic.
  11. Take a trip somewhere other than Iowa (maybe Canada).
  12. Take pictures in a black and white photo booth. View
  13. Get rid of the clothes I don’t wear (after the baby is born).
  14. Make a photo book.
  15. Keep a clean home.
  16. Scrapbook more often (twice a month).
  17. Learn sign language (to teach to the baby).
  18. Practice yoga more.
  19. Create a new identity & design website (currently in progress).
  20. Get the long awaited bird tattoo.
  21. Set up the baby’s room.
  22. Start screen printing (maybe buy a print gocco).
  23. Organize my crafting supplies completely.
  24. Go to Bremerton.
  25. Give birth. View

Okay so I don’t know the last one yet, but once I figure it out, I’ll let you know. I’ll post these things as I do them. Okay, so the last one is kind of a given, but oh well.
